Online Chlorine Detection Device for Crude Oil
Chlorine-3550 On-Line Chlorine Analyzer for Crude Oil Crude oil and the petroleum products derived from its refining typically contain chlorine, in both organic and inorganic forms. Chlorine can lead to corrosion of refining equipment, blockage caused by ammonium chloride salts, catalyst poisoning, engine corrosion, and environmental pollution. Therefore, it is essential to measure and control the chlorine content in crude oil and petroleum products such as gasoline and diesel. As crude oil quality and processing conditions change, chlorine levels can fluctuate rapidly; thus, obtaining real-time analytical results is highly valuable.
The Chlorine-3550 online chloride analyzer for crude oil employs single-wavelength X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (NWDXRF). An X-ray tube emits X-rays, which are monochromatized by a hyperbolic bent crystal and then directly irradiate the crude oil sample. The atoms of silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine, argon, potassium, calcium, and other elements present in the crude oil and ambient air are excited to emit fluorescence at 2.62 keV. This fluorescence is further monochromatized by the same hyperbolic bent crystal and detected by a silicon drift detector (SDD) at 2.62 keV, thereby determining the mass fraction concentration of chlorine. The instrument’s sample introduction unit, detection unit, and oil return unit are all maintained at a constant temperature of 50°C to ensure unobstructed flow paths, and it can be periodically calibrated using standard chlorine reference samples.
Technical Advantage 1: The system’s detection limit is no higher than 0.2 ppmw (for oil samples), with a dynamic detection range of 0.2 to 3,000 ppmw.
2. The system’s repeatability error shall not exceed ±2%.
3. The single analysis cycle shall not exceed 300 seconds (the analysis cycle may be extended when measuring concentrations near the detection limit), enabling continuous, real-time online monitoring.
4. The system shall operate without failure for no less than 168 hours, with a maintenance interval of no less than 6 months; annual operational reliability shall be no less than 95%.
5. The equipment automation rate shall be no less than 90%, with functions for automated pre-processing, automated analysis and monitoring, and automated recovery.
6. Monitoring System: Beidou positioning, remote operation, remote diagnostics, data transmission, energy spectrum analysis (including interference removal), operation logs, and fault alarms.
